Trenton was defeated by the three brothers in the finale, in what was a battle which has changed the landscape of Los Angeles entirely. The brothers are left feeling stronger than ever after their great victory, leading them to putting more time into the relationship between them rather than focusing on their own lives. Tyler is still overprotective of his brothers, even more so now that they nearly lost Jericho when Ariel & Trenton kidnapped him and to use him for some kind of sacrifice to bring about a new world order; powerful beings intent on destroying this world. Jericho is even more intent on becoming his own man and not being the weak link in the fearsome trio; he is looking to better himself. Levi on the other hand is still trying to find his identity, going out and patrolling, but noticing that although a great evil was destroyed, the vampires are coming back stronger and stronger. And after hearing murmurs of the arrival of another powerful vampire/s, he is even more on edge to prepare himself. They came too close to failing in their battle with Trenton and Ariel last time. And Ariel isn't close to forgetting what they have done to her vampire lover, and is plotting her revenge on the brothers in more ways than possible, possibly even forming an alliance with unknown dark forces arriving in town... It is another year at UC Los Angeles and all supernatural beings are on edge following recent events. The fight isn't over for anyone, it is only just getting started, especially when a new family arrives in town, dedicated on hunting supernatural beings, where there is no gray or white; only evil.
