You could wonder why a woman like Katrina would end up at a club. She hated crowds, all the technology gave her headaches and the music.. It was horrible. So was the lightning. The woman didn't even use the technology in her own home, instead she preferred keeping it to candles and fires in the fireplace as far as lightning and heat went. The cooking.. That wasn't even discussable at the moment. But she was learning and slowly adjusting. Though, Katrina hated what had become of the world she once knew. This wasn't anything like the world that she had left behind when being locked up by those god-awful beings. Yet, here she was as alive and kicking as she had been for almost 700 years ago. And when you could think that a woman like her, no a witch like her, would be entirely focused on getting revenge - that wasn't all she was thinking about. In fact, she was trying her best to welcome the new world and she had figured out that the best way of doing it was by night. When the streets would calm down, people would head home to their families - except from this one, a shady club she accidentally walked by.
It hadn't been planned, that she would in fact go inside. But she was drawn by something - her curiosity perhaps, thus she charmed her way through the line and cutting ahead. A brief smile and a vague whisper of a spell soon had her getting inside and the headache was there instantly. Cussing to herself she tried to focus on something to keep it at bay and she lingered to herself for a brief moment and drew a deep breath. She had yet to adjust to the people and to the intimacy at the club. The people dancing close, sweating and touching. Her thoughts about that were torn and she moved further in to the club. Katrina tensed when people were bumping into her and she found her way to the bar. Sliding down onto one of the few bar stools that weren't occupied, even if she didn't get to sit for long. For a brief moment her head played her a trick, and her eyes were tricked into seeing something that wasn't there. At a short distance she was certain that she saw one of those, who had back in the days, been after her. Katrina's first instinct was to leave. So she got up and kept her eyes at the man, before turning around and heading off to the other direction.
Katrina found herself getting deeper in to the club and she suddenly felt the sudden urge to get out, to be able to breathe properly. Pushing her way through people, shoving them aside and heading for the emergency exit it didn't take long before she pushed the door open. Within seconds she was outside and she stumbled on her high heeled shoes, though caught her balance swiftly and graciously. Finding herself in a back alley she drew her hand through her hair, before throwing a glance over her shoulder. Could be that she was a powerful witch and she knew how to hold her facade and defense herself, but she was still rusty and she was still new to this world. It would take some time getting used to, even for someone as ancient as herself. She hated it and she wrapped her arms around herself as she began walking down the alley, her head held high while occasionally throwing a glance over her shoulder to make sure that she was in fact alone. Taking a swift turn, while busy throwing one of those glances, she didn't think of the fact that someone could appear in front of her. Suddenly she walked into someone and her defense was up instantly as she flinched and her head spun towards the other being. Her eyes found a pink/black-haired girl and Katrina couldn't keep it to herself as she hissed "Watch it, girl." in a most unpleasant and rude tone.

Her brother's friends were wonderful! Such easy hook ups, and they never ment more then sex. Mainly cause they were all awkward to date because of her and her brother's closeness. But that meant great sex with no strings attached! She fluffed her skirt as her brother's friends walked away, back to the club after their quick release. She pulled a compact out of her purse and sat back against the wall she'd just been pressed against to fix her make up.
Athena was an attention whore at best, and down right weird at worst. Her parents had gotten her to see a shrink once, when her trip to Mexico City had failed. He said she was needy with Narcissistic tendencies. It was amazing how they labeled greatness when they couldn't label it. Athena and Joash were the children of music stars, brilliant artists in their own rights and socially superior to almost everyone they knew. What that their fault? Of coarse not. But she was certain that other great stars had been labeled as OCD and ADD and ADHD by their "Superiors" when they were just Youths too.
With another dap of lip gloss Athena was off to another club. Joash wouldn't be happy with her now, at least not till they got home and he had his chance to yell at her... So she had to find some where else... Perhaps up to the 90210 or over to OOC... They had decent enough clubs for her to hang out at. She stood up to leave and walked towards the corner to Glisten away when she ran into another woman.
All she could manage was a grunt at first, but then the woman snapped at her and Athena came back from her little world. The woman had all the signs of having been attacked. Athena's better nature kicked in, and while she should have been worrying about scuffing her new favorite boots she was looking around. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked. "Did someone try to hurt you?" she asked looking behind the woman where she had been. Then the training she'd gotten hanging out with Sorority girls. "My name is Athena, are you okay?"

If something, Katrina was surprised by the girl's kindness and the fact that it all seemed so.. genuine. Kindness wasn't something that Katrina had been receiving much of during her years before the entrapment and since her awakening she had thought of most people as rude and the majority of them lacked manners. So ending up face to face with a girl who seemed oh so friendly made her suspicious and she wasn't quite sure on how to react. However, she kept her facade and before she knew it she was playing along – throwing another quick glance over her shoulder. This while hugging her arms closer and fiddling with her grand-mother's charm, which she had around her neck.
”I.. I am not sure. I thought that I was... I thought I saw someone. Someone following me.” Acting nervous came to her naturally and she turned her eyes back at the girl. It looked like if the girl belonged to the majority that enjoyed clubbing; dressing up, drinking and enjoying themselves. Katrina didn't understand any of it and figured that she never would. Then again, everything was still very new to her and in a way, you could probably understand that she was feeling a little bit paranoid and nervous, jumpy even. Though, that wasn't something Katrina would be admitting to. After all, she was a powerful witch. She just happened to be in the wrong era – this wasn't the life she was supposed to live.
Katrina watched the girl carefully. ”I'm Katherine.” She introduced herself carefully, Katherine being a name she had been using frequently over the last few months, while getting around. At least those few times she had been introducing herself, especially when closing in on Los Angeles. It was there her searching had led her, thus she believed the witches to be there. And being the careful individual she could, occasionally, be had her using another name. Not doubting for a second that they, at least some of them, had heard her name once or twice. She couldn't let them know that she was coming; or that she had awoken in the first place. It wasn't a risk she was willing to take. However, that didn't stop her from playing with humans like the one in front of her. Everything about the humans did after all intrigue the witch, even if she in the same time hated the way the world had changed.
