Athena laughed as she walked out the door to her building. "Yea, yea! Keep dreaming. You'll get better grades then me the day I loose a hand and can't hold the bowl to whisk my eggs properly!" She shouted into the hall and then laughed at the muffled response that came through the door. "Yea, bite me! See you guys tomorrow. Be prepared for another whipping Kyle!" she shouted again and walked away letting the door close behind her.
She stretched in the night air and sighed happily. It has rained that morning and the damp still hung in the air. Joash was probably hiding in their third bedroom turned studio, and she would be expected to feed him some dry, tasteless form of meat to make him feel better. She began going through ideas in her head, but nothing was coming to mind right away.
She stalked down the way from her school walking like she owned the place. And considering her powers, she very rightly did. Who would be silly enough to attack a fairie in the middle of the night, this close to a major body of water? Vampires? Please, let them come. She wasn't afraid of them. She wouldn't even need her glistening.
