Ariel was turned by Trenton three centuries ago on their wedding night. While she does remember her old life it generally is something only Trenton would find useful since to him she's quiet and listens to him.

She doesn't have any friends except Trenton but if you like living dangerously you can try to be her friend.

Ariel is married to Trenton and is very happy. The idea of cheating on him is alien to her and she's very dependent on him for her survival.
