Tahlia stared up at the stars speckled into the sky. She was surprised she could even see them with the haze of cloud floating about. It was dark, and she hated being here by herself. One, it was a very large field with God knew what kind of LITTLE creatures were crawling around the bushes over by the patch of woods. And two, it was a very large field with God knew what kind of BIG creatures were lurking about. But there was a reason the coven had chosen this spot over many to meet up once or twice a week. It was quiet all for the crickets chirping in the grass in and around the field. It was secluded for the most part, aside for the possible BIG or LITTLE creatures. And it was one with nature. What better place for witches to meet up than an area of the glorious Wiccan God of Fertility? Well, they sure as hell wouldn’t find a place like that in the polluted city of LA. So, here she lay in the cool grass in her dark blue jeans, black kami, and baby blue v-neck t-shirt over top of it. She had her black zip up hoodie tossed next to her. It was a bit chilly lying on the ground, but she loved the feeling of mother earth around her. The blades of grass brushing up against her skin with every whistle of the wind. The smell of trees being inhaled through her nose and being washed over her entire body. If she just kept these thoughts going through her head, she would stay calm as the possible creatures that were probably just waiting to maul her to death were hiding somewhere beyond the field.
Tahlia closed her eyes as she listened to the world around her. Most of the time, she would pretend that she was one with nature where she wasn’t just lying in the field. She WAS the field. A moment where she felt free of the world and all the responsibilities that weighed down on her every single day. None of this she would ever tell anyone. Not even Jericho, her best friend. Most people already thought she was a crazed, stuck up, hippy chick who spent far too much time trying to be someone she wasn’t.
Just as she was becoming lost within her own mind, a ruffle of leaves beneath someone’s feet could be heard a short distance away. Tahlia’s eyes shot open, and her heart immediately started racing. She pushed herself up slightly resting her weight on her forearms. She stared into the woods out in front of her, but as much as she squinted, the only light that illuminated anything was the crescent moon above the field which wasn’t much at all. She wanted to call out. Maybe it was some of the coven. Taylor? Maxi? Bobby? But if she actually said anything, it would be the words ‘hello, is anyone out there’ which would be far too cliché for a horror movie. And Tahlia DID NOT want to be in a horror movie.

Maxi didn’t like the woods, but she was certain that Bobby was close and that Taylor would be here soon as well. She didn’t really like darkness, though she wasn’t a scared little kid, afraid of the dark either. She just hoped she wasn’t the first to arrive, or that Tahlia wasn’t already there, she didn’t like the girl and the girl didn’t seem to like them. There had been plenty of moments where the two almost got to each other’s throats and Taylor and Bobby had to split them up. With this in mind, she only dreaded it more to walk onto these so called grounds of the Wiccan God of Fertility. She didn’t know if she really liked to be on these grounds, as she did believe in different gods, even though she didn’t know as much about them as she would like.
For a moment, she stopped walking, when she spotted Tahlia on the grass and smiled, as she raised her eyebrows at the redheaded girl. ”I do hope you weren’t planning on spending the night on these grounds of Fertility. Though I’m sure Mother Nature would be very proud.” She said on purpose, as she looked down at the girl and pulled her brown leather jacket closer around her, as she now knew she wasn’t smart in picking out the white blouse and faded jeans for the day. They weren’t keeping her very warm, or at least, not as warm as she had hoped. She couldn’t help but smile when she saw Tahlia’s eyes shoot open and how she pushed herself up. ”I’m sorry if I scared you.” She said, only being half-honest.
”Tahlia, don’t worry, I’m sure Bobby and Tayor will be here soon and it’s just me, stop worrying, we have never had any animals attack us and I do plan to keep it that way, we’re witches, not innocent children playing hide and seek.” She said, as she held her head to the side and looked at Tahlia in the grass, before she sat down too. ”They’re probably just running a little late, I know my brother would, just to try and spook us.”

Tahlia watched way too many horror movies to not be scared to death by whatever could have been lurking. But when Tahlia realized it was Maxi, part of her wished it was the Texas Chainsaw Massacre guy coming after her with a chainsaw. Honestly, Maxi was no better. Instead of being killed by being chopped into tiny pieces, Maxi would kill her with her words. Tahlia wasn’t a mean person generally. She tried to be nice to everyone or at least pretend to be nice to them. But Maxi just pushed he buttons in all the worst ways possible. If she had been asked what it was about the 16 year old that angered her, she would have answered ‘everything’. But the truth was that Tahlia was extremely jealous of the girl. And you know what they say. The green monster fuels the worst red anger. That was definitely an issue here with Tahlia. Any time they were ever together, they would end up arguing. And even though Tahlia’s comments were not nearly as quick witted as Maxi’s, she would still attempt to firing every one of them she could think of at Maxi.
Tahlia rolled her eyes as she pushed herself up the rest of the way grabbing her black zip up hoodie off the forest floor and slipping it on over her shirt. ”She WOUL D be proud. It’s about time she had something to be proud of.” Tahlia said as she zipped up the hoodie and crossed her arms over her chest. It was a hopeful blow at Maxi’s success as a witch, but she knew it wouldn’t work very well. Maxi had known since she was twelve that she was a witch, which was a few years more than Tahlia. She had had a lot more time to perfect her calling. Great, just another thing to add to the list of Maxi successes, she thought as she glanced out into the trees hoping to hear someone else coming so she wouldn’t have to be by herself with Maxi any longer.
Tahlia scoffed when she apologized for scaring her. ”I’m sure you are,” she said knowing full well that Maxi wasn’t completely apologetic for anything that ever involved Tahlia. But as Maxi continued to talk, Tahlia couldn’t help but think that Maxi was right. Why was Tahlia scared anyway? All four of them were witches, and even though their powers seemed to be stronger with them being together, they still were strong on their own as well. ”Well, if he does come out of nowhere and scare me, i’m punching him.” she said trying to act like she was bad ass. It never worked though. If she did end up punching him, it would only be because he made her jump so high that her arms flailed out and accidentally hit at him. ”They better hurry. It’s already 9:45! What they hell are they doing?”

It was that time of the night again, he could feel the energy in the air, it was not hard to say that he was a bit excited about the night. Then again the young witch loved his powers, long ago he had learned his strengths in the magic and embraced them. He spent a lot of time on his own practicing and of course it paid off, he was a powerful witch in his own rights, some could say the most powerful in the group, but he had more practice and years of experience over the rest of them. He loved the strength that the four of them had together as well. He also saw the advantage to working together as well to his individual practice. He could not always be around the other three of course but their was the advantages for when they were.
He slipped through the overgrowth of the land silently as he soaked up the beauty of the moon and the stars. He loved it, the beauty that was around him. The trees that were swaying behind him, he was not sure what was nice about it, maybe it was the peacefulness that was around him. Maybe it was because of his connection to death, his powers as a necromancer, who would know, he liked it though. It was relaxing for him and it made him happy he was about to see his sister and the rest of his coven of witches.
He slipped closer to the pair that he could see the outlines of and he could hear the mutters already. He sighed to himself silently and prepared himself just incase he needed to cast a shield between them. Tahlia and Maxi already seemed to be at it as the only ones that were there already. For some reason the girls did not seem to get along. He was not sure why but it just happened. He and Taylor sometimes had to break them up. It was tiring but what could he do about it.
He slipped close and he heard them talk about him scaring them and he smiled inwardly at himself. He was close enough to scare them now and they had not noticed him yet. Made him glad he was not a vampire because they clearly were not that great at paying attention fully. "Hey gorgous, maxi, glad to see you guys made it out here safely."

"Yeah, we'd think you need someone to be proud of you." Maxi said, shrugging. She could never help it that she had a sarcastic manner about her whenever she was around Tahlia. The girl was gorgeous and everyone knew it. Maxi was way more plain looking around Tahlia and always just seemed like more of an attribut, like a chair or a tree, compared to Tahlia and she was just very much jealous of it.
Maxi smiled at Tahlia, when she heard what she said and spread out her legs, as she kept sitting on the grass calmly. "i'm not stopping him if you manage to punch him, unless of course you're arms start flailing." She knew she was being mean, but Tahlia just brought it up in her. She then nodded and looked at the sky, before she looked at the trees for a moment. Was someone there?
She refused to call out, because around Tahlia, she didn't want to look weak, she didn't want to look weak around anyone. She however nearly jumped, as she heard Robert's voice and jumped up. "Damn it, Bobby!" She said, giving him a shove. "I was expecting you and yet you still manage to scare us."

Tahlia clenched her teeth when she heard Maxi’s comment. Maxi had only said a few words, and Tahlia was already wanting to deck her one. It was the one comment that would set someone like Tahlia off. Someone who already had to push herself constantly to make her parents proud of her and accepting of her. For Maxi to tell her that she would need someone to be proud of her was just the icing on this already explosive cake because really that was one of her worst weaknesses. But of course she couldn’t think of anything to say right away which gave Maxi time to say something else at her about her flailing arms. Tahlia flashed Maxi a glare. ”Yeah, well…..well, you should just be quiet!” Tahlia snapped at Maxi completely fuming enough to make her lose any possible comeback she could think of against the sharp tongued Maxi.
And that small moment of losing focus was enough time for Bobby to jump out at them and scare the crap out of both of them with his voice. Just as Maxi claimed, Tahlia jumped and her arms went flailing as she gasped to calm herself. Well, at least she didn’t hit him which she was almost certain that she might have. But Maxi took care of it really with a shove to her brother.
Tahlia took a deep breath to calm herself from the hysteria that just took place. And once her heart had stopped racing, the words that Bobby had said to her registered in her mind. He had called her gorgeous which was such a Bobby thing to say. He was always flirting with people, and sometimes it was with her. He knew it made her uncomfortable, well at least Tahlia thought that he knew. But that was probably why he did it. To see her squirm beneath his charm. She crossed her arms over her chest again where they had been before and glanced at the two. ”So, maybe we should just start without Taylor. I have a quiz tomorrow, and I’d like to get in a bit of studying before I crash.” As much as she wanted Taylor to be there, she couldn’t make it that obvious to everyone else. The last thing she wanted was something else Maxi could hang over her head.

He smiled at his sister warmly as she shoved him. He knew that he had scared her, he loved to do that, it was awesome, he loved to do that, it was the right of the older brother after all. It was his job to be overly protective, pick on her and scare her. There was just some things that created the stereotypes of a brother and they were pretty correct, especially when it came to Bobby, he loved to have fun and a good time and the magic even made it more fun and easier. Maxi did not have quite the skill he had and he knew it and would use it to his advantage. "See that is how good I am, you were expecting it and I still...managed to pull it off. Now say, Bobby is the best and I would have my day made."
He noticed Tahlia's reaction to his words and that made him smile. He liked to see her reaction. It was like she did not know her beauty or charms and he found it kinda cute. Not only cute but kinda fun at the same time. He loved it, he found it entertaining and he was not going to stop, he knew by now she had gotten accustomed knowing that it was what he was going to do but it did not stop him. "Are you two ok? Do I need to seperate you two, the tension, I could cut it with a knife.
He smiled softly at Tahlia as she spoke to him, he could understand her reasoning and he did not blame her. It just so happened that he had gotten a text from Taylor as it was. The boy said that he would would be late to meeting them and might not even show up. He had.....a date which Bobby was not surprised that Taylor expected to lead up to other activities. Of course he was being optimistic, Bobby did give him crap for planning a date on their meeting night but what could bobby do besides that. Bobby did find it ironic that the man with power over time had that kinda trouble with time..... Taylor said is might be late so we can go on without him tonight. He pulled a spell book out of his pocket and a flashlight. Here is the spell we are going to try. It is pretty cool if I don't say so myself. It grants you the power of invisibility. Pretty awesome stuff.

Maxi had been waiting for this kind of reaction, truth be told. She knew what would set the girl off and knew she was probably just being mean, but she couldn't help it. Tahlia just brought it up in her. "And if I'm not? What are you going to do then?" She asked then, looking at Tahlia defiantly, as if asking to come with a comeback, or a witty remark to put her tongue-tied, she knew she wanted her to come back with one, but also knew she probably wouldn't have the gut or the ability to do so.
She then smiled when Tahlia did flail with her arms, because of how funny it looked and looked at her brother with an amused look, because of what he said and rolled her eyes slightly. "Oh please, you're ego doesn't need more upping." She said, before stucking out her tongue at him. She then looked at Tahlia again and smirked slightly, which was also because of how he had called Tahlia gorgeous, which he did with more girls and women, though she wouldn't easily hear it herself, because she was just his sister, even though she knew he was proud of her being his sister. "Maybe we should, I don't think it's a good idea to make it that late anyway, we'll catch up with Taylor later if he doesn't show up." She agreed.
"No, you don't need to split us up, we're just you know, being us." She said, as she looked at Tahlia with her eyebrows slightly raised. She then looked at Bobby again and nodded when she heard what he said about Taylor. "Expected something like that." She said, before looking at the spellbook, he pulled out. "I don't want to be a party pooper, but why do we need to be invisible?" She never really expect to need to use this power in the first place.

”Yes, please do,” Tahlia agreed more to herself than anyone in particular. She knew that Bobby was just messing with them, but some sort of wall between the two of them probably wouldn’t have been a half bad idea considering the fact that they were always at each other’s throats; right now especially being that Maxi had to throw in another comment to rub it in that clearly Tahlia could do or say absolutely nothing to get back at Maxi effectively.
But Tahlia was easily distracted by Bobby’s smiles. Oh, here we go with the smiles. Lately, they had been Tahlia’s strongest weakness. First Paul, then Levi, now Bobby. She knew smiles were supposed to make people happy, but Tahlia couldn’t handle THIS happy. At least not now anyway. Not when she had to prepare herself for being attacked with Bobby’s scare tactics and Maxi’s just….pure….evilness.
Maxi surprisingly agreed with her saying that it probably wasn’t a good idea to stay out that late waiting for Taylor anyway. Tahlia nodded. ”Yeah, it will get way too dark, and we really can’t see what is around us if we stay out here in the field that late.” It was back to those damn animals and creatures of the night thoughts again. But she couldn’t help it. She had just fought a freakin’ troll recently! If there were damn trolls, then she wouldn’t put it past the world to inhabit unicorns that stabbed people in the stomachs and creepy red haired leprechauns that spoke in riddles before they killed someone and little dolls that came to life and tied helpless women up before murdering them with their creepy little doll laugh echoing in their ears. Tahlia shivered zipping up her black hoodie. She really needed to stop watching those horror movies. And she really needed to learn how to not show a face of disappointment when she heard that Taylor probably wasn’t going to be coming at all. She figured as much actually, but it still saddened her expression every time. He probably had a hot date, which was to be expected of the popular university student.
Tahlia watched as Bobby pulled a spell book out of his pocket and explained the spell they would be performing tonight. Invisibility? A smile flashed on her face as she leaned in to look down at the spell. It looked hard with all that Latin. She hated trying to pronounce the Latin. She really sounded like a fool sometimes. Her eyes glanced over at Maxi who was clearly not into this invisible idea. In all honesty, Tahlia was all for whatever spell they could try to do. As long as she was able to get her powers to build up, she would do just about anything even though she was pretty sure the only reason Bobby was interested in this spell particularly was to allow him access into the women’s locker room at the REC unnoticed. "Because its a spell, and we are witches, Maxi." Tahlia said in a rather snooty tone hoping that Maxi would catch it.

He smiled at her sister and grinned a little, his playful grin. He could disagree with her. One of the best feelings in the world was getting his ego boosted, he loved it. the feeling shot through him and made him feel on top of the world. It was not a necessary thing, cause he naturally had his ego. He felt like he was great the best, did not hurt him any with the fact that he was the strongest and most experienced witch in their little coven. He also let it grow naturally with the company that he kept, and the people that he interacted with on the daily, after all when you would get flirted out with by the beautiful women around him. Ah but sister dearest, my ego could always use a little boosting even if it is not needed
He listened to them agree on the fact of not having it a late night, a little look of surprise crossed his face. He was not used to the women in the coven agreeing on anything, he could not even get them to agree on the spell, one of the reasons he gave up on asking which spells they would like to do and just started to decide, that and he actually studied and practiced more than they did. He did a lot of individual work after all. I think three witches could figure something out to do about the light. One is an elemental, one can transfigure and the third knows a spell for creating balls of light. He smiled at them warmly.
He sighed when he told them what the desired spell was for the day and maxi could not see the point and tahlia liked it. It lasted for such a short amount of time. It was sweet while it lasted. He dreamed that it was a more permanent thing but he did not see that happening. He found himself wishing that he knew a spell that would make people get along but sadly that would not solve his problems, plus even he did not think it was the greatest idea in the world. He would just have to put up with it. It was not like he could think of a solution, they needed Tahlia, she was a powerful witch in her own right, the other three people in the coven were the most powerful witches he could find after himself. They needed each other. Maxi, you never know when it could be useful, being stalked by a vampire and needing to hide, needing to sneak around to do something, sneaking up on enemies, spying. It could be useful for us if ever have to go into battle. Invisibility would be an advantage if in battle we ever had to split up or Taylor could not slow down time for us. I can see it being helpful for me to hide while working magics.

Maxi didn't reply at what Tahlia said to her and just looked at her, blinked a little, then looked back at her brother. "But brother, if your ego gets any bigger, it will have to have its own apartment!" She teased, as she looked at him. She then scrunched up her nose and looked at both. "I may be elemental, but that don't mean I like the dark." No sane people liked the dark.
She looked at Tahlia and narrowed her yes, as she heard what she told her. "Don't you think I know that?" She said, not having any real remarks this time. She then looked at Robert and groaned slightly, as he agreed with Tahlia. "Fine, go get invisible, so you can watch women take showers." She said sarcastically, before she looked at the latin and decided to go along with it, even though she still di'dn't see the use of this spell.

Tahlia tried to hide her smile as Maxi mocked her brother with comments about his ego being large enough to have its own apartment. She was right. Bobby was confident enough for the whole damn coven. If there was one thing he could do better than anyone else, it was boost the morale of the coven with that confidence. Actually, there was a lot he could do including pick a spell that could actually do the coven some good. Of course Tahlia didn’t think of the advantages of being invisible. She immediately assumed he was going to use it for his own personal gain in naughty ways. But sneaking up on enemies, spying on them, AND hidden spell castings? This was definitely a spell that could be useful to them if they ever came up against something sinister.
Tahlia was happy when Maxi agreed with Bobby. That was good. The less arguing the better she supposed. She nodded as she glanced at Bobby. ”Okay. We are all in favor. Let’s do this.” She said with a smile. There was no doubt in her mind that Bobby would take the lead with this spell which she was fine with. If he started pronouncing the Latin, she could hopefully join in a mimic him. It was the best chance she really had at speaking it. Mimicking others who knew what they were doing.

|| tag, coven | words, # | outfit, here | notes, --- || Romping through the woods on a Thursday night had not been on Tatum’s to-do list that day. Well it had been, up until his sociology class earlier that day. His usual hated class turned out to bring some good into his life; or so he had thought at the time. It had been like any other day really. He had sat down, got his things out and prepared to turn on his faulty ’I’m totally listening to everything you are saying’ face, when a pretty new blonde had waltzed into the classroom. And a pretty new blonde usually meant one thing to him. A pretty new challenge. Lucky for him, he seemed to have caught her eye as well, and he had immediately set off the all hour conversing with a coy smirk and a brief wave of his hand. It was a bit funny how easy it had gotten for him to pique the interest of some women. But then again, he worked at it almost every day so he was bound to have some moves. And obviously this girl had been pleased with them, for when he asked her out that night she had promptly agreed. Perfect right? Not so much…
After they made the accommodations, Tate had texted Bobby informing him that he had other things to do that night and he wouldn’t be able to make it. Of course the guy hadn’t been very happy about the situation, but really, if it came between sex with this girl and some magic practice, Tatum was pretty sure Bobby would do the same. Or not, the guy was pretty hardcore when it came to practicing the arts. Maybe Tate was alone on this one. Either way, the date had gone great, and Tatum had figured that he was heading in the right direction when it came to what he had planned after the date. Unfortunately the girl had stated that she needed him to take her home early. When he had asked why, she had answered nonchalantly, ”Oh, just so I can tuck my son in…” Yeah. A whole date and she hadn’t thought to mention that she had birthed a baby. So he had taken her home, and that landed him where he was now. Romping through the woods on a Thursday night with thoughts of what should have happened instead. A wonderful night indeed.
Tate could hear the recognizable voices as he neared the clearing. His feet collided with the ground heavily, hoping that the group would hear and think it was a bear or some other wild beast walking through the forest ready to strike. Wait…were there even bears in Los Angeles? Probably not, but if anyone would think it was a bear it would definitely be Tahlia. He had witnessed that girl scream her lungs out when she had stepped on an ant hill their last trip into the woods. That had definitely been a sight to see. As he breeched the edge of the woods, the small clearing opened up just enough to let the light of the moon jump at the opportunity of reaching the grass covered floor. His gaze fell on his three coven mates surrounding a small book, held by Bobby. ”What, you all didn’t think to wait for the guest of honor?” A half grin picked at the corner of his lips as he furthered himself into the clearing, nearing the small group. Once he reached them, he made his way behind Bobby and Tahlia, peaking his head between both of their shoulders to look at the book. ”So what’s the plan tonight gang?”
Not getting laid. That’s one of the plans tonight. Whatever, at least the night wasn’t being wasted. New spells always had an act for turning the night unexpectedly and making things interesting. Hopefully this night wouldn't be any different. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Maxi only agreed eventually, because she wasn’t feeling like picking an argument she couldn’t win, seeing that both Bobby and Tahlia seemed excited enough to learn this spell and actually use it. She really didn’t want or need to know what Tahlia was going to use it for and decided to pretend the redhead wasn’t here, even though she so obviously was. Then again, another part of why she went along with it, was because she loved languages, even though she couldn’t pronounce Latin right for the life of her.
Not expecting to see Tatum, it came as a surprise to hear the sounds in the forest that sounded like an animal and that caused her to stand closer to her brother, since he told them he’d protect them. She however wasn’t going to admit that she was scared of whatever animal was out there. When she saw Tatum, she let out an exasperated sigh and looked at him, crossing her arms over her chest, as this was the second time someone scared her. The boys were getting better at it every day. However seeing him, also made her smile, as she knew Tahlia would probably grow a little milder now, since she was excited.. probably. ”Well, seeing that you told Bobby you weren’t coming, there wasn’t really any waiting, besides, we’ve waited enough, don’t you think?” She said with a slight smile.
She eventually had to smile, when she saw what he did and how he asked what the plan was. ”Invisibility, apparently these two expect us to be needing to fight a big evil monster anytime soon.” She said, slightly sarcastically.
