The trip to the hospital was rather eventful, especially after Lilith made a scene when they tried to stick her. She hated the needles, the probing, and there was a reason she never went to those death traps. She would have healed on her own if she was left to her own devices, however she had to keep up appearances now more than ever. What truly shocked her though was that Yuki came back, she hadn't expected her to honestly. Lilith was a stranger, someone she could have easily left once she dropped her at the hospital and felt no remorse over. Humans, their silly emotions and feelings led them to do things that she could never understand.
Once all the shots, stitching, and the like were handled Yuki made good on her promise. They were now at a hotel where Lilith had a bed to sleep in, clothes to wear for now, and something to eat. Yet Lilith was still curious about Yuki, she just couldn't figure out why someone who killed vampires for a living was so kind. The opposite was often true, they were usually the worst sort of people and would kill you for even looking at them wrong. How did she manage to survive in this life without being paranoid? The question burned in the back of Lilith's mind, making her believe that Yuki was up to something, she had to be.
Pulling a pair of shorts over her undergarments, Lilith wandered out of her room, padding down towards Yuki's. Straightening the tank top she wore, she brushed her hair out of her face and knocked gently on the door. Hopefully she was still inside, still awake, or else she was going to feel mighty foolish waking her up. It was a long night for Lilith, most likely for Yuki too, but she had so many questions she had to ask and they could not wait until morning. Placing her hands behind her back, Lilith leaned forward, closer to the door as she cleared her throat.
"Yuki, are you still awake?" she called through the door, hoping for an answer. "I have to ask you something, open up." she said, keeping her tone polite. It was not a suggestions however, but she figured making a demand would only create tension between two strangers trying to figure one another out. On top of that, they were potentially going to share a living space, as both of them knew how much it sucked being new to a city. Standing there, Lilith shifted her weight to her left leg as she felt eyes on her from nearby windows.

[/size][/div] to begin, [/IMG][/div] She woke to the sound of the knock on her door. Something had told her that Lilith would want to speak to her at some point. She couldn't imagine what was so important that it couldn't wait till morning though. Sighing she crawled out of bed and ran a hand through her sleep tostled hair to make sure it wasn't sticking straight up. Yawning she covered her mouth with her hand and opened the door.
"What is it, Lilith?" she asked as she stretched lightly and felt her spine pop. A soft sigh as she put her arms down and realized that the other woman could see it as a come on, "What's so important you have to talk about it now? I'd think the drugs they gave you would knock you out for a week at least." she said as she stood there and tapped her foot as she waited for the other woman to speak. Rubbing her eyes sleepily as she looked at the other woman.

Her ears perked up when she heard the sound of the locks scrape as they were undone. There was a smirk on her face as Yuki opened the door which quickly faded to a look of discomfort. Lilith made sure that she didn't seem too eager for Yuki to answer, she didn't want to seem like she was perfectly alright. Watching Yuki's body language closely, Lilith laughed in her head as she sighed and stretched. There wasn't much time to notice it before, not with all the pain and running but Yuki was quite attractive. Shaking her head, Lilith tried to clear her mind of all the human medicine that was coursing through her. Demon or not this stuff was potent, that was for sure. The only thing she could do was fight back against it, to stay awake.
"I'm sorry to wake you, I just couldn't sleep. Honestly," she started, shifting the way she was standing nervous, "..I felt unsafe by myself." she said. Moving closer to the door, to Yuki, Lilith attempted to hug the woman tightly as if to show how afraid she was. "I never got a chance to thank you earlier for saving my life. I'm only glad you opened the door now." she said, holding tightly to the woman for a moment before letting go. Biting her lower lip, Lilith blushed slightly before coughing softly at her outburst. "I uh.. I'm sorry. I can't help myself sometimes.." she said, motioning past Yuki.
"I don't know if I can ask you standing out here." she said, looking down at her exposed legs. The shorts didn't exactly leave much to be imagined, so she was actually quite "cold" standing out here as she shivered a bit. "I just needed to ask you some questions about tonight, that is all. If you don't mind of course.." she trailed off. Crossing her arms under her chest, she looked down at the floor as she spoke. "Unless you would rather I come back in the morning?" she asked.
Truth be told, she would rather find out more about Yuki now. While she was tired she was likely to share more about herself than when she was alert, on guard. This was the perfect time to make a small move, nothing too much.

She awkwardly patted the other woman and smiled as she looked up at her, "Its okay, Lilith. You don't need to thank me. Its what I do." she said as she shrugged and brushed her hair out of her eyes and wake up a bit more. "You don't owe me anything."
"Come on in." she said after a moment as she walked over to the room and sat down on her bed. Gesturing to a chair for Lilith she tried to wake up a bit more, "What is it you wanted to talk about?" she honestly didn't get why the woman wasn't passing out. She half expected her to fall asleep in the chair as they talked to each other. Running her hand over her hair she smoothed it quietly, taking her brush up and running it through her hair. She straightened her back and sat cross legged as she waited to hear what the other woman had to say.

There was a fit of laughter inside her head, it was easy to tell that such affectionate reactions made her uncomfortable. This piqued Lilith's curiousity now as to the why of the matter. As long as she had lived she thought that contact, hugs, things like that were what made interacting as human as possible. She made a habit of being very hands on, very affectionate where possible as it threw most people off of her trail otherwise. She made a mental note to remember this for future use, it would definitely come in handy down the line.
"You're so modest, it's kind of strange. Then again, I guess that isn't the weirdest thing I have seen all night.." she said, shaking her head. It was clear that she was fighting the medicine in her blood, especially because she didn't know what to expect if she fell asleep. Ever since her death, ever since she woke up again Lilith had remained awake. As a demon she was without the need to sleep like mortals did and she never tested what happened when she closed her eyes either. Part of her was afraid that the moment she gave in she would cease to exist again, something she never wanted to go back to.
Shivering slightly, Lilith looked Yuki in the eye for a moment and opted to sit on the bed next to her rather than in the chair. "That man you.. dusted tonight.. or vampire I guess. There are more of them out there, aren't there? What happens if they want revenge?" she asked, seeming quite frighened. Drawing her knees up to her chest, she gazed at Yuki with a stare that made it seem as if she was sizing her up. "How did you get into this life? I can tell that it's been hard by the way you reacted to my hug. You've been alone for a long time, haven't you?' she asked, resting her chin on her knees.
Lilith didn't want to seem like she was pressing, but she was curious. She couldn't stop the questions as they flowed out of her mouth. Where was this woman from? Why did she seem to be carrying this like it was her burden to bare? At least for now vampires were her target, that put Lilith at a lesser state of alarm. "I'm sorry if I seem to be pressing you, I'm just tired, scared, and I was hoping to stay close to you." she said, laughing weakly. "Silly, I know, I just don't know how you handle this.."

[/size][/div] to begin, [/IMG][/div] She rubbed her face and sighed. She didn't want to answer 20 questions at midnight but Lilith seemed insistent, "I really couldn't give a shit if they do, Lilith. They killed my sister and she was the only family I had left. There isn't much else they CAN take from me." she said with a soft sigh, "I had to dust my own sister you really think I care whether I survive the fight?" she said dully as she hugged a pillow to herself and sighed, "You reminded me of my sister. I helped you because of that. If someone had helped my sister the way I helped you tonight she might not have been turned."
"I was born into this life. Its something my family does. Don't ask me why. I mean shit we don't have super powers or anything and yet we get called to go stake vampires and put down the bad werewolf that eats people. Its a shit job with no benefits, no paycheck and no thank yous but someone has to do it." Bitter? Yeeahhh just slightly, but when you watched your sister kill people and had to shank her it kind of broke you on the inside. She exhaled softly and rose from the bed, "I need a drink." she muttered to herself. Still, for all that statement could imply all she did was get a glass of water and two aspirin, "My back is killing me." she explained as she climbed back to her bed and bit her lip, "Sorry my explanation isn't that obvious but its simple. I dust vampires so the streets are safer. I know it won't bring my sister back but maybe some day it will do some good to someone. The civilian I save today could cure cancer...or be the next tyrant. But hey I'm fighting the good fight at least."
"You'll get through it, Lilith. And as long as you're with me I've got your back so you don't have to worry." she smiled sadly. "Any other questions?" she asked as she flopped back in bed and glanced at the other woman.

Now it was all starting to make sense to Lilith, though she should have assumed this from the very beginning. Most hunters did it out of personal revenge, why would she be surprised? That was something that she knew well, it was within her realm, vengeance. In fact that was all she was anymore, a monster that was used to gain revenge on those who had wronged someone else. This is what she told herself, anyhow, Lilith didn't want to believe that she was capable of anything else anymore. If she had feelings then she was weak, if she was weak then she was able to be tricked into her own demise and hurt once more.
"I.. I don't even know what to say. I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it couldn't have been easy, but if it's any consolation I know what that is like.." she said, sighing softly as she locked her gaze on the woman before her now. Such raw emotion right now was probably not going to get her the answers she wanted, but she was learning about Yuki like she set out to do. Yuki was even more dangerous than she could have imagined. There was nothing more dangerous than a human with nothing to lose. They fought with everything they had because they could no longer feel the pain of loss. There was no beating a human when they were like this, the spirit in them was too strong, too broken.
At this point her only choice was to get in closer to Yuki, to shield herself from the recieving end of her sharp objects. Watching the woman get up to get a drink, Lilith smiled mischieviously as she stretched her legs out for a moment. When Yuki sat back down, Lilith stood up on her knees and moved closer to Yuki as she held out her hands to the woman. "Well, I can give you a thank you, at least. There are benefits sometimes, like you said, you might save the right person some day!" she said with a cheery smile as she slid her hands up and down Yuki's back. She did this slowly, trying not to startle someone who was proficient in hand to hand combat.
"It just so happens that I have many talents beyond screaming, getting hurt, and falling down." she joked, casually going about massaging the womans back. "Lay down on your stomach for me? Then I can show you my true skills!" she said, laughing softly as she shook her head once more. It was obvious that she was fighting the drugs, which probably explained why she was acting so strange to a human mind. Truth be told, this was just how Lilith was. Flirtatious, "kind", and very open to the troubles of others. It was only when someone deserved vengeance or they were angry did she turn into some heartless demoness.
"I'm just glad you're here. If you've got my back, then I've got yours. Deal?" she asked as she continued her massage. "More questions? Yeah, what sort of business do you plan to open again? Can you even market your skill set?" she asked, before taking notice of the clock nearby. "I'm so sorry I am keeping you up. I don't often have anyone to talk to that isn't trying to take my clothes off." she said, blushing as she laughed nervously. She was doing a decent job so far of being Lilith the Vagabond instead of Lilith the mass murderer. "It's nice to hear you say that I remind you of someone so close to you. Normally no one thinks of me at all."

When Lilith hugged her she kind of hung there a moment, uncertain what to do. The glass of water in one hand dangling just slightly, but not enough to spill.
"Its okay. Really. You don't have to keep thanking me. Its okay." she said with a smile and a blush. She really wasn't used to someone being nice to her. At the offer of a backrub, Yuki hesitated and sighed, rolling over. "Generally when you say to someone you have their back its not in a backrub manner." she said dryly as she looked back at the other woman and slowly relaxed under the expertise of the demoness.
"I'm not the type to take advantage. Its just not cool. I like knowing someone likes me for me not because they feel obligated." she said simply as she looked at the other woman with a shy smile and began to relax. Her eyes were drifting closed as she laid there, "That feels nice." she said sleepily. "And you're welcome." she added sleepily.

Lilith laughed quietly, this one was completely unlike anyone she had encountered in this odd century. While she was no stranger to the emotionally broken, this one seemed to have something in her that said she wanted to be whole again but couldn't. How did she know? It was simply an instinct, not some magical supernatural gift. "Of course I couldn't have known, but that doesn't make me any less sorry. No one should have to go through what you're going through." she said, wearing an expression that was almost a frown but not quite. This one was almost able to provoke some actual emotion out of her and that was a terrible, terrible thing.
"I don't have to do alot of things, but I do them anyway. You pulled me out of a fire, so to speak, the least I could do is make up for the sore muscles." she said, laughing as she kneaded her hands into Yuki's back. Normally her back rubs were a little more personal, involved more skin, however she figured it best not to press her luck with this stranger. She was different, definitely not the type to be so easily ensnared by Lilith's whims. No, this one actually had a sharp mind and thought for herself, never letting someone else make her decisions for her. There was respect to be gained from that, but for now all Lilith could concerntrate on was her words and her body.
"Yeah well generally people don't hold this much tension in their limbs. Nothing about this is normal or general." she replied, laughing as she continued to move to her lower back, maybe a bit too low but just high enough not to cross any real personal boundaries. "Besides, I woke you up. I could at least help put you back to sleep. From the sounds of it, it's working too. You can't hide that yawn from me." she joked, giggling softly.
It was hard to get over just how modest Yuki was being, honestly Lilith didn't feel like she was in that position in the slightest. "In most cases isn't it the one being taken advantage of that complains? I don't hear a thing.." she said, teasing Yuki playfully. "You're not and it's no problem for me to do this at all. You're an absolutely beautiful woman, I'll call it a lucky night even just being able to repay someone like you with a small favor." she said, nodding to her own statement. "I don't feel obligated to do anything, not in the least. Like I said, you're the only person so far in this city who hasn't tried to take my clothes off." she said.
"So, you've been at this your whole life? Haven't you ever wanted anything else? Love? Something like love? Maybe even just a friend?"

Not that Yuki was looking for pity, after all, Lilith had asked her about her past and she had just indulged her curiosity. Still, it wasn't something she was used to. She made a habit of being a loner and moving on quickly once things got too complex. It was safer.
"Thank you for the backrub. Its rare that I get to a chiropractor, they ask too many questions and know the body too much for me to get away with lying or trying to talk my way out of uncomfortable situations." she admitted softly as she felt her muscles relax and release. She sighed softly and brushed her hair out of the way, its blue black waves sparkling in the lamplight as she laid there in her pajamas and felt the demoness work on her back. "I'm not going to object if it helps me sleep." she mumbled softly as she looked at her.
"I can't bring anyone into this lifestyle. It would be insane and selfish. Its the only life I know and it would put others in danger to date or fall in love with someone. I can't have their blood on my concious so I tend to keep to myself. After all it only takes one bite to turn someone into a vampire. That is remarkably easy to do in this world. I can't risk another loved one falling to the curse of the undead or lycanthropy. Its selfish." she exhaled and shook her head as she tried to clear her head of the sad thoughts in her head. "I never plan too far ahead. It doesn't help."

At this rate her work was going to be a long "in progress" since it seemed that she held tightly to her outsider principles. It was hard to get someone so used to being on their own to open up, but not impossible. Even with all of the walls, all of the armour they built around themselves, there was always a crack that would let someone in. Lilith began to wonder, however, why she was thinking like this. She didn't care what happened to others, didn't care for what they felt. All she wanted was to see the worst in humanity brought to the surface, she wanted to feel their rage boil over into ultimate destruction. This is what she told herself as she held on to her pain long past, forever deemed to seek vengeance for something long settled.
"Yeah, no problem at all. At least you've made it interesting for me, you're definitely not like the people I usually ran into." she said quietly, continuing to go about her business. It was strange how calming the situation was, how for once she didn't care that she could see a tiny spark of hatred inside of this woman. Such basic desires blinded her to her true purpose, giving her a new goal that was off the path she was destined to follow. "It's never a problem to give a beautiful woman a massage. In fact, it might even be good karma, I'm all for the good things that could happen to me as a result." she said, laughing. As she made the comment her tone was a mixture of "haha just kidding" and flirtacious.
The answer to the big question of the night sort of bothered Lilith, however, as it was a view shared by many in this realm. Wearing a sad expression, she sighed just loud enough to be heard. "Whether we know it or not we are already in this life, Yuki. Just because they know what you are, what is out there, it doesn't protect them from it. Going at it alone is a fools errand, one that is going to claim your life in the end.." she said, seeming upset. If she had no regard for herself, Lilith would hope that she had some for the future good she might do for someone. "By you even saving or helping me you could have damned me as well. They could assume I was associated with you. You cannot control the actions of others. Things will happen, things that hurt us, but we are all born with the strength to move forward." she said, her hands massaging Yuki's lower back just above what would be considered inappropriate.
"You're right about one thing though, planning ahead doesn't often help. Life is just one seed of chaos exploding after another, you just have to learn how to manage it like everything else. Don't plan to be alone or else you might as well finish yourself off tonight, right here." she said, shaking her head. Why was she giving her this speech? Old habits died hard, she supposed, Lilith was afterall a mortal before she woke to this form.

My job choice isn't exactly normal." she said gently as she felt her tension easing with the work that Lilith was putting into relaxing her. She sighed softly and stretched a bit more to work out a few kinks of her own, "Flattery won't get you anywhere." she chuckled and shrugged good naturedly. "You are a horrible tease." she chuckled as she looked at the other woman and listened as she spoke.
"That makes sense but its still...hard." she admitted to her with a shrug of her shoulders, "Are you hinting at something?" she teased "You're sounding like Dr. Phil. I get what you're trying to say and I appreciate it but its kind of hard to put some of that in practice or internalize it right away. You are talking about a multi leveled change and generally those take a bit of time to start much less absorb at midnight." she said as she looked over her shoulder at the other woman.

Lilith laughed, despite the hard shell she put up it was easy to see that Yuki could be more fun than she thought. Leaning forward a bit, Lilith plopped down on Yuki gently, leaning forward. There was a devious smirk on her face as she continued to be exactly what she was accused of. "Are you sure that flatter won't get me anywhere? I've been known to be quite the charmer if you give me a try." she said softly, running her hands up and down her back. Flirting never hurt anyone, she might as well have some fun with the situation she had created, heaven knows tonight wasn't exactly as fun as she thought it would be. Lilith never planned on a hunter crashing her party, but it wasn't too late to redeem the night.
"I understand it takes time, but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself in the process, right?" she asked, giggling. What she was hinting at was almost obvious, unless you were oblivious to this sort of thing. If she had to be blunt about her new objectives, well then she would feel like a bit of a fool in a moment or two. It was no fun if she was going to be serious all the time, Lilith needed to feel her out, see if there was a fun side. Though, perhaps her definition of feeling someone out was a bit different, at least in this moment. Sitting over her like this, a full view of them woman below her, she almost blushed considering the circumstances, even if she seemed assertive.
"Trust me, I'm no life coach. Just another woman trying to make it in a crazy world that just got much crazier. I can't make it without people, without interactions." she admitted, sighing. "I figure that somewhere deep down you're the same, and if you let yourself feel that you might relax more." she said, smiling brightly. "Or if you'd like, I can help you relax more.." she added, boldly setting an open ended offer on the table. There didn't have to be strings when it came to keeping yourself amongst the people, sometimes all that had to exist was desire and the need to have fun once and awhile.

[/size][/div] to begin, [/IMG][/div] Raising an eyebrow lightly, she looked at the other woman and smiled, "Of that I have no doubt. You've certainly proven it tonight." she said with a soft smile as she looked at the other woman. Yes, Yuki was the oblivious one. She'd been so busy being the big damn hero that the romance that in theory came with the role had skipped her.
All she knew was that she was tired and the massage was knocking her out a little bit at a time. Her eyes were half lidded as she mumbled and chuckled, "And here I thought you had all the answers. I think you've helped me relax plenty. I'm about to fall asleep." she admitted as she struggled to stay awake and not fall asleep on the girl who was straddling her. She was slowly losing that battle.

It seemed that she had come to a crossroad with captain oblivious, the vampire slayer. While Lilith found her to be amusing, she was surprised someone could be so blind to what was actually happening here. Laughing quietly to herself, she wasn't sure whether or not to be upset that she failed at her task or amused that Yuki wasn't sure what was happening. "See? Much better than spending the night alone in here, I'd think." she said, smiling brightly as she moved off of Yuki. She was definitely glad that she hadn't decided to become a slayer, that was for sure now.
"It seems I failed, I put a little too much effort into that back rub." she said, clapping her hands together softly. With a big, devious grin she looked down at Yuki. Tonight wasn't going to be a night that she had her fun, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't stop trying one way or another. She was denied the satisfaction of feeding on rage and it seemed she would be unknowingly denied the physical joy of a night like tonight. Shrugging her shoulders softly, she leaned forward, meant to be a surprise as she kissed Yuki's cheek.
"A rain check then, it seems. Good night." she said, standing up to take her leave. "..night ends here. Unless, you don't want it to." she added playfully as she opened the door to the hall. "I'll be in my room." she added, walking out in a rather seductive manner. Down the hall she went, back to her own room where she prepared herself for a long night of potentially staring at the ceiling. Lilith had no need to sleep, so she didn't.
